2019 Social Impact Awards

Oct 14, 2019

Apply for One of AmCham Canada’s Social Impact Awards

AmCham Canada is pleased to present the 2nd Annual Social Impact Awards during the U.S. Thanksgiving Dinner taking place on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at the National Club in Toronto.

The Social Impact Awards spotlight businesses and organizations that have made a difference in their respective communities during the past year.

Following the success of last year’s awards program, we are pleased to extend this year’s awards to also recognize a non-profit organization.

The three 2019 award categories are:

  1. The AmCham Canada Social Impact Award, which recognizes a U.S. based company which has made a positive social impact in Canada over the past year
  2. The AmCham Canada True North Social Impact Award that highlights and celebrates a Canadian based company which has made a positive social impact throughout North America over the past year
  3. The AmCham Non-Profit Social Impact Award, which recognizes a non-profit organization based in Canada or the U.S. that has made a positive social impact on both or either side of the border.

Last year, the AmCham Canada Social Impact Award was awarded to Johnson & Johnson for increasing the effectiveness and quality of Indigenous midwifery within educational institutions. IBI Group won the AmCham Canada True North Social Impact Award for building a holistic educational village that encourages collaboration and new opportunities that develop across disciplines and that transcend grade levels.

If wish to nominate your organization or another enterprise in your network for any of these awards, please contact Carmina Jimenez at cjimenez@amchamcanada.ca.

We welcome nominations from all enterprises – AmCham Canada membership is not a requirement for submission.

All applications must be submitted by Friday, October 25th.

Finalists will be invited to join us at the U.S. Thanksgiving Dinner.

Please feel free to contact Carmina Jimenez (cjimenez@amcham.ca), David Olsen (david.t.olsen@pnc.com) or Bill Kitay (bkitay@amchamcanada.ca) if you have any questions or need any assistance.

We look forward to learning about your story.
