With the 2020 U.S. election on the horizon, AmCham Canada, Pacific is again excited to present its State of America Panel Discussions to keep you in the loop on the race for the White House. In the first of a four event series, our panel of American political experts will meet to discuss the state of the campaign including a brief overview of the last three years, the Democratic selection as well as current issues impacting the upcoming election.

Meet our panelists confirmed to date:

  • Richard Johnston, Canada Research Chair in Public Opinion, Elections, and Representation, Department of Political Science, The University of British Columbia and an expert on the structural foundations of the U.S. party system.
  • Laurel Weldon, Distinguished SFU Full Professor of Political Science and expert on how gender, race and class will impact the election.
  • Matthew Wright, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science, The University of British Columbia and an expert on border and immigration issues.

This series presented to a SOLD OUT crowd in 2016, so early registration is encouraged.
