AmCham Canada Pacific Chapter - State of America Series: Trade and the Trump Administration

Join the Honorable Stockwell Day and Matilde Bombardidni on January 26th as they discuss the Trump Administrations position on trade. This session will explore questions such as:

  1. Can 'The Donald' unilaterally "rip up" NAFTA? What are the legal steps to do so with regards to congressional support and Senate approval?

  2. Can he renegotiate with Mexico only?  Must it be with both Canada and Mexico?

  3. If NAFTA is ditched, what are the practical implications for Canadian and U.S. Companies and the consumers in both countries?

  4. What are the outstanding issues around Transpacific Partnership (TPP)? Is it dead or to be re-negotiated?

  5. What are the U.S. and political mechanics pending to adopt TPP?
